A small commercial rock lobster centre which boasts good fishing and beautiful beaches for a relaxing holiday. Ledge is the starting point for the Annual Windsurfing Classic held annually in January.


Lancelin
127km north of Perth
Nestled between a large safe bay with two islands and extensive white sand dunes, Lancelin is a rock lobster centre with excellent deep sea bay fishing. Good diving and miles of practically deserted beaches. Lanceelin is home to internationally acclaimed windsurfing beaches and is the unofficial extreme sports capital of W.A.

Cervantes
245kms north of Perth
2 1/2 hrs north of Perth, Cervantes - "Gateway to the Pinnacles" provides essential facilities and accommodation for all travellers. The Pinnacles, located in the Nambung National Park, are one of Western Australia's most popular attractions. Cervantes has a number of pristine beaches, within easy walking distance of the town centre, ideal for swimming, boating and windsurfing. Fishing is popular at nearby Hangover Bay and Kangaroo Point. Other attractions include two lookouts, Lake Thetis Stromatolites and many tour options. For the 4WD enthusiast, the tracks from Lancelin through the sand dunes make it an adventure to remember.

Jurien Bay

Located on a sheltered bay, Jurien offers excellent beach and ocean recreation. Within the harbour, there are also good bathing beaches for families. Panoramic views from Molah Hill or Grigson's Lookout on Indian Ocean Drive. In November there's the blessing of the fleet and in January the Wind Challenge. Exploring the coast by 4WD, you can discover secluded coastal hideaways such as Sandy cape and North Head. North of Jurien Bay are Stockyard Gully Cave (take torches and explore the caves) and Lesueur National Park (4WD only). Moora
172km north of Perth
Moora is situated on the banks of the Moore River. This area in its virgin state was a large Salmon gum forest and many of the attractive trees still remain. Moora has many parks, gardens and heritage buildings. The Berkshire Vallley Folk Museum is part of a building rated 'A' by the National Trust of Australia. Watheroo National Park is 50km north of Moora and accessible from all directions by good gravel road. It is also the site of Jingamia Cave.

Dandaragan
168km north of Perth
Dandaragan offers an alternative scenic drive to Perth. Step back in time as you travel past historic buildings such as Aggie's Cottage and St Anne's Church. Enjoy the view of Marri Trees, wildflowers, winding creeks and white cockatoos as you meet back up with the Brand Highway. The Dandaragan Gymkhana and Fair is held in September each year.

Badgingarra

Badgingarra National Park is home to an abundance of wildflowers, including many species of kangaroo paws, banksia, verticordia etc. The Badgingarra Nature Trail begins and finishes west of the Brand Highway near the Badgingarrra Roadhouse. For those interested in wildflowers, bushwalking and native fauna, Waddi Farms Resort offer tours and overnight accommodation and also includes a managerie of farm animals. The Badgingarra Bush Bonanza is held on the second weekend in August.
